Craig's 120g Build

Added the first two inhabitants today

A beautiful adult yellow tang (flash makes it loos a little see-thru). Eating already.

And a gorgeous Copperband Butterfly

What are you doing with the 75?is it reef ready?

Traded it for the 120.

Looks sweet Craig YahoO
so no canopy now… does that mean no vho’s?
The CBB is beautiful, good luck with it (i’ll spare you the lecture)… I think “one” of mine in the past would have survived if it hadn’t been bullied at feeding time, so i’m curious how you make out with it being a 1st addition.

and did you throw any frags in there yet? I have a piece of blue sympodium, if you don’t have any its yours as a “tank warming” gift…

I’ve done enough reading on the CBB, and think that making it a 1st addition should help. It’s eating and swimming all over. I added the rest of the “old” fish today and everyone is getting along, no aggression, no bullying, and everyone eating happily together.

At this point I think I’ve moved everything, will continue to collect snails for another day or 2, was only able to find 4 on the 1st pass.

No canopy, and no VHOs, at least not immediately. I’ll give it a few weeks and see how things grow, color up, and make a decision then. I have the ballast if I change my mind.

Not the best pictures, but will give you a general idea. I’m REALLY happy with the way everything has turned out.

You should be proud! nice work ::thumbsup::

so where’s that evil clown at?

Thanks. You’ll have to stop over to see it in person.

That b*tch is in there somewhere. Lynn decided she really liked her and wouldn’t let me get rid of her. >LOCO< But I suppose it’s easy to like a fish when you’re not the one that has to put your hands in the tank that apparently mimic a buffet line.

Granted, at least for today, she’s being very pleasant - I do admit to finding a little humor and entertainment in watching her swim all over the tank looking for her anemone (but it was pulled in to a rock so she couldn’t find it) and not in the same place as it was in the last tank. ::rofl::

Short video. Now I wish I had a better video camera

Looking great Craig!!! I’m glad you decided to keep your Mag-Float fish too… ::rofl:: ::rofl::

I’ve had that mag float for about 7 years now. I couldn’t bring myself to part with it.

Nice build Craig! what kind of anemone is that for that b*tch, I mean clown?

looks good i need to get my tank that clean again

I got it when it ws small and we just called it a “green speckled bubble tip anemone” - now it’s not so much green, or speckled, so it’s just a bubble tip - - without bubbles.

And I’m certain this will probably be the last time the tank is that clean.

Well the tank has been up for just about a month and a half now and it’s coming along nicely. The fish are all happy, the copper banded buttetfly didn’t make it, but I was able to add 2 new clown fish, surprisingly the tomato didn’t bother them at all, but the chromis harassed the crap out of them for a couple days.

Everyone is getting along now and seem to be happy.

I’ve been slowly adding a few corals here and there, I just counted at least 20 different varieties, so when everything grows in the tank should be impressive.

Here’s a short video as my photography skills officially SUCK today.
